Sat, Jan 27 from 2pm - 4pm
The basics of consent are straight forward: have capacity, know what you're agreeing to, and give an honest yes or no. The practice of consent takes a little more work.
Consent 201 uses collaborative activities to further discuss consent and question our ideas about it. Through interactive scenarios, participants will identify where consent was broken and discuss what actions might have been able to change the situation to a positive outcome. Together, we will construct a better framework to deal with consent violations by considering view points, knowledge, and intentions. Building on the basics, we'll explore many of the components and considerations that go into this challenging topic.
All sexes, genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations, relationship orientations welcome and celebrated.
Cost at the door: $30.
No late entry will be allowed due to the intimate nature of this workshop. Doors will be locked at 10 minutes after the start time.

About the Educator:
The Consent Academy is a group of dedicated educators and activists who provide quality consent training and consultations. We have come together to promote Consent Culture through education, speaking out, and supporting organizations that want to do better. We talk a lot about consent and consensual activity. It’s the cornerstone of what we teach and who we are. And while that is easy to say, we know that living a dedication to consent takes work, awareness, and a willingness to engage.
This workshop is presented by the Consent Academy and the Foundation for Sex Positive Culture. Please go to www.consent.academy or TheFSPC.org for more information.
